In true BlackBerry style, the
BlackBerry Torch 9800 slide phone was launched to the worlds press and media on
the 14th August 2010. The full red carpet treatment was laid on for a long list
of celebrity names from sport, music and show businesses, many of whom were
caught on the BlackBerry catwalk and offering their personal views on the
lastest RIM BlackBerry handset.
Drake (Recording Artist) said, "Yeah, I
use it every day, write all my songs on it and I know the keys very well ".
Other celebrities with something to say about the new BlackBerry Torch
included: Speed racer, Christina Ricci, Felicity Huffman (Desperate
Housewives), Kristin Cavallari (the Hills), Anna Kendrick (The Twilight Saga),
Shenae Grimes (90210), Amber Valletta (The Spy Next Door), Michelle
Trachtenberg (Gossip Girl), Adrian Grenier (Entourage), Jessica Lowndes (90210)
and Rashida Jones (Parks & Recreation). In almost all cases, there was high
praise for the touch screen/QWERTY combo - the best of both
worlds!
